Araafa in Top Condition for Breeders Mile
Araafa has been given the go-ahead to tackle next month's Breeders' Cup Mile after pleasing connections in a workout in Newmarket on Sunday. The winner of this season's Irish 2,000 Guineas and St James's Palace Stakes last ran in September when he was runner-up to George Washington in the QEII Stakes at Ascot.
The Jeremy Noseda-trained colt will now bid to round off his season in winning fashion at Churchill Downs on 4 November.
Tony Nerses, racing manager for owners Saleh Al Homaizi and Imad Al Sagar, said on Sunday: "He worked very well. He is in tip-top condition and we will be supplementing him for the race.
"Jeremy is very happy with him and thinks we go there with a good chance.
"We have not decided on a rider at this stage, but it will be a top American jockey."
